First and foremost, it shows that the industry is in demand, both from customers requiring care, and from prospective franchise owners. But most importantly, it shows that these care brands are getting it right. We’re not just succeeding because there’s demand, we’re excelling because we’ve built robust, responsive franchise models that truly support our networks.” He continued: “Yes, the home care industry is a stable industry, but it’s also growing. The demographic and social trends are undeniable: people are living longer, the population is increasing, family carers are decreasing, and the NHS needs support in the community. All of this leads to successful businesses for those who can meet the need with high quality service levels.” PipWilkins, CEO of the BFA said: “We have been overwhelmed by the feedback we’ve received following the conference and awards this year. It appears that seeing me clamber in and out of Theo’s racing car caused much amusement, and our speakers and breakout sessions imparted some very topical and relevant information. “My genuine thanks go to Citation, Constant Contact and HSBC UK for their generous support for these two key events in the franchising diary.Without their backing, these events simply would not happen, and I know I speak for the entire industry when I say we are so very grateful for their continued support. “Of course, my biggest congratulations go to our award winners, along with my thanks for continuing to raise the bar of franchising in the UK and being such shining examples of the ethical franchising that we work so hard to promote. “My sincerest thanks also go to our judges, who give up so much of their time to help choose our winners.” Pip concluded: “As we end the year, franchising is in a good place. 2025 has not been an easy year for many businesses, but as ever, franchise brands have coped admirably, a reflection of the flexibility and resilience of the franchise business model. I am confident that 2026 will be no different. Franchising remains a safe haven for wise business investment, and we look forward to meeting many more new brands, franchisors and franchisees in 2026 and seeing the industry develop and grow in exciting new directions.” 45 WHAT-FRANCHISE.COM Ana lys i s | FEATURE
