ith strong demand, a proven model, and ongoing support, Daniel Savi’s story is a testament to the success that awaits ambitious entrepreneurs who join the PACK & SEND franchise network. Why did you choose the franchise route? I’ ve always wanted to run my own business and be my own boss, but I didn’t want to take on too much risk. A franchise provided the perfect balance – the independence of business ownership with the support of an established brand. Since neither my business partner, Koudy, or I had owned a business before, PACK & SEND gave us the confidence to take the leap. What was your background before joining PACK & SEND? I spent many years working for Royal Mail, starting as a postman and working my way up. The skills I gained in logistics and customer services made PACK & SEND a natural fit when I was looking for my next opportunity. How did you fund your franchise? Initially, I considered a loan, but after reviewing finances, my business partner and I decided to self-fund using our savings. How has the franchisor’s training and support helped you? The initial training was invaluable. We spent four weeks at the Reading store, PACK & SEND’s flagship location, where we got hands-on experience with customer interactions and operational processes. This gave us the confidence to run our own store from day one. Ongoing franchise support has also been a huge advantage. What does a typical day look like? No two days are the same! Some days we’re packing specialist shipments, other times we’re out doing collections. The variety keeps things interesting and constantly challenges us. What challenges have you faced? The biggest was finding the right location. Once we secured it, things became more manageable, but running a business requires dedication and problem-solving. The complexity of international shipping came as a surprise. Every country has different customs requirements, which was an eye opener! How has your life changed? I now have control over my own future. There’s no fixed salary – our income depends on howmuch business we generate, so we’re always striving for growth. Richard Cage
